Aftercare
Your preservation piece is meant to be observed and enjoyed for a life time. Keeping in mind however, that it is still made up of organic material which will change over time and if not cared for properly can still be susceptible to damage.
Every precaution is made when we are professionally preserving your bouquet. Colour changes can happen during the drying process no matter what steps we take to avoid this.
To ensure that your bouquet continues to look its best, we recommend doing the following:
Keep your preservation pieces out of direct sunlight. Even though your frame includes 92% UV protection glass, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause colour fading and possibly discolouration leading to browning of lighter coloured flowers.
Keep in an area of low humidity. Do not keep in areas such as bathrooms where it will be exposed to moisture. If moisture or high levels of humidity get into your frame or preservation piece, it will add moisture back into the flower that we spent months working at removing professionally. This will cause colour change to occur such as browning. It can also cause mold if the moisture gets trapped in the artwork. For optimal preservation we recommend keeping it in an area with less than 50% humidity levels.
Keep away from direct heat. Avoid handing your artwork above areas such as a fireplace or heating vent. Prolonged exposure to heat can cause discolouration to your flowers.
When cleaning your preservation pieces, avoid harsh chemical cleaners and use a microfiber towel.
For jewelry items, remove before showering and swimming. Keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Your flowers are encased using UV protected resin, however, prolonged periods of sunlight or heat can cause colour change to the resin and flowers.

There are a lot of variables that can determine how long your order can take such as: size of order, process used to preserve your flowers and time of year (peak wedding season can slow down orders). You can expect your order to take 4-6months for completion.

Flowers are organic and it is natural for them to change color during the drying process. Although many steps are taken to ensure that they stay as vibrant as possible, not all flowers will preserve the same. As your piece ages, you may also notice some color fading which is a natural occurrence. Please note that I do not offer color correcting of flowers.

At this time I am not offering shipping. Bouquets need to be hand delivered and items need to be picked up from my studio in Paris Ontario. For clients who are unable to personally deliver their bouquet I would recommend a same day delivery service.

Yes, most tropical plants that hold a lot of moisture do not preserve well. They tend to lose all of their colour and brown. I have methods that I can use for some varieties such as orchids or calla lilies which tend to work well, however the outcome is never guaranteed.
