Please note that during peak wedding season there will be processing delays with orders. Turn around time can take 2-4 months. I will keep you updated throughout the process and I assure you I am working as quickly as possible without compromising quality.
Step 1:
Contact me (the sooner the better) to book your date! Ideally I would like your bouquet within a few days after your special occasion so the flowers are as fresh as possible. Currently I am booking 3-6 bouquets per week (or more during peak wedding season but expect delays with orders during this time). For those of you wondering if I can work with pre-dried flowers, the answer is yes (the exception being for the pressed glass items)! Contact me and send me a photo of your bouquet and I will let you know what we can do. At the time of booking I do require a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 to be paid in order to reserve your date as I get inquiries about booking daily. Step 2:
Deliver your bouquet to me. Currently I am only offering services locally. I am not offering shipping at this time. Prior to delivering your bouquet, if your flowers are still fresh make sure they remain in water until they are delivered. |
Step 3:
Once I receive your bouquet I will disassemble it to see what I am working with. I will select the best blooms and greenery from the bouquet to work with. If the flowers are fresh I will dry out the selected flowers using silica sand or press them. This product will dry out the flower while keeping most of the colour and structure of the flower the same. There will be some changes to the flower much like you would expect if you were to dry out the flower naturally, however this product gives a much better result. The process of drying the flowers using the silica sand can take several weeks depending on the flowers that have been used in the bouquet (larger/thicker flowers take longer) Step 4:
After the flowers have been dried is the fun part! I will start to design the layout. I use silicone molds and pour thin layers of resin over the flowers. This process can take 1-2 weeks (or longer during peak wedding season). During this process I will keep you updated and have you approve the layout of the design before I start to pour the resin or finalize the framed piece. Once completed I will let you know to pick up your new piece of art! |
